After the Japan visit, Prime Minister Modi will head to Tianjin, China, for the SCO Summit. President Xi Jinping will host the event. During the summit, discussions will focus on regional security, counterterrorism, economic growth, energy security, and connectivity. India became a full SCO member in 2017 and chaired the body in 2022–23. India is expected to play an active role again this year.
